I get stuck driving the car down Memory Lane and, you know, sometimes the memory gets stuck on some seriously off-the-wall shit. It started when I was laughing it up about these Nike SB Pee Wee Herman's and then I thought about ol' Joeski Love. I mean, old school heads know this track and remember how crazy it was back in them "back in the". Here go the video, the MP3, I mean...it's so out of print you ain't gonna find this joint anywhere but here and the swap meet. This MP3 is ripped from ...
I am ashamed to admit: I've been holding out on you again. You see, several months ago, we had this thing in Memphis called the North American Folk Alliance Conference which will, for the next several years, be in Memphis. For one amazing weekend, Memphis got consumed with the best folk music in the world presented by four generations of folk-based and folk-influenced performers.
Among the many wonderful things I saw was Old Man Luedecke, hailing from Toronto before making his great escape to Nova Scotia with banjo in hand, he swept into my city and made ...
According to this story from Engadget, DRM issues can be stripped away with the installation of FairUse4WM v1.3 Fix 2, a program created by Doom9 forums user Viodentia (the subject of a recently-dropped lawsuit by Microsoft) or one of her brethren who have unleashed this fix into the wild. I wanted an excuse to post this picture of this pair of sick-as-hell snakeskin Puma Heat Active Basket's that I would love to get my hands on. I also wanted an excuse to post an MP3 of a great lost disco track that I love by Sergio Mendes & Brasil '88 entitled "I'll Tell You". It comes from their 1978 album Magic Lady and I have no idea if this is even in print anymore. It's probably not. Okay, put on dancing shoes. Have a funkin' good time.

I know I've been bad about updating. Okay, well...life is happening. But I can't just abandon the one thing that keeps it all together, can I? Summertime in Memphis is so hot, your feet can't touch the pavement and nobody wants to move. It's 103 in the shade, and it's that swampy, nasty heat that makes you take three showers a day and still feel funky. So, in honor of the funky, nasty heat of summertime, I dug out some of my favorite jams for ...
Posting without watching it first, here's the newest from Fiddy or 50 or Fifty or whatever you want to call him that isn't rude. Reports lead me to believe that not only is this video total garbage, but New York City Sanitation Workers found this song on the curb and refused to pick it up for fear it would contaminate the landfill for which it was destined. According to Wired, a SoundExchange executive who addressed Congress today regarding the royalty increases promised, unequivocally, that they will not enforce the new royalty rates come Monday of next week. This breath of fresh air comes as a welcomed relief to thousands of webcasters who feared having to cease operations over the weekend without an emergency intervention by the Congress.
The new rates would have gone into effect on Sunday, leaving the door open for collection of royalties to begin Monday morning. Eliot Van Buskirk had an opportunity to interview Pandora founder Tim Westergren in the minutes following the ...
SPREAD THE WORD. PLEASE REPOST THIS MESSAGE EVERYWHERE.
This is really disheartening news. If you're reading this, you must stand up and speak up if you want internet radio to survive. Dozens of webcasters, from WOXY to Soma.FM and on and on will collapse under the weight of the Copyright Royalty Board's royalty rate hikes.
Your silence now will lead to even more silence when net radio disappears into extinction. Please read the following and take action.
IMMEDIATE ACTION NEEDED FOR THURSDAY, JULY 12TH
Greetings,
Time and options are running out for Internet Radio. Late this afternoon, the court ...
