    Hip-Hop @ Bonnaroo Bonnaroo 2007, Friday, Musique Non Stop | (5)
So as EJ and I discovered, writing and posting from Bonnaroo comes with its own unique difficulties. Most of which consist of over-the-top cool events going on all the time to distract you from the internet. Friday’s events wrapped up with shows from Aesop Rock, El-P, and DJ Shadow. Aesop brought Rob Sonic on stage as a backup MC, and the duo worked out pretty well. Aesop was stellar as always, and Sonic’s vocals added a nice twist to the out-of-this-world lyrics that one can expect from Aesop Rock. Although I haven't been a huge fan ...

Bonnaroo Fashion “Do’s” Pt. 2 — Ice, Ice Baby! Bonnaroo 2007, Musique Non Stop, The Aftermath | (0)
One thing anyone who has been to the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival can tell you is this: it's hot (no, not like Paris Hilton saying that something is hot, physically hot like a grilled cheese sammich that is still grillin'). Desperate circumstances call for desperate measures, and when you've gotta cool down you've gotta go for frozen water cubes. That's right: it's Reddy-Ice Time. This guy's choice to strip right down to shorts and hang the Reddy-Ice bag over his head shows a sense of style and fashion that is also affordable. Of course, be ...

No Reminder Needed: Feist’s Rising Star Continues To Shine At Bonnaroo 2007 Bonnaroo 2007, Musique Non Stop, Saturday | (0)
Leslie Feist is everything I want in a performer and nothing I don't -- she is a risk taker, she is passionate, beautiful, constantly crosses boundaries of musical landscapes with a mere wave of her hands. She is one of my favorite Canadian exports in music, and I'm obviously not alone. Evidenced by the packed-to-the-tent-stakes crowd at her Bonnaroo 2007 show, I'm not the only one impressed by her body of work. Her third album, The Reminder is another cornerstone in her growing legacy. The songs from Reminder were sprinkled delicately throughout her set, playfully ...

Yoshimi vs. The Pink ‘Roo-Bots — The Flaming Lips Land Magnificently At Bonnaroo 2007 Bonnaroo 2007, Musique Non Stop, Saturday | (3)
It's hard to compare and contrast one show by The Flaming Lips versus another unless, of course, you've seen them through the various manifestations of their thing. I had a conversation about the shows we used to see in the late 1980's and early 1990's of the Lips with their bubble machines and their light shows that really served as a launching pad for what the crowd at Bonnaroo got to experience this year. Had I not been running around trying to photographs of everyone, I would have stayed for more of their set. To put it ...

Loudersoft Loves Chromeo (As If You Didn’t Know) — Win A Trip To See Chromeo, Annuals, Bloc Party, Of Montreal, !!!, GusGus, and Many More In Iceland! Be A WINNAR!, Musique Non Stop | (0)
According to statistics, there are only 300,000 people in Iceland, 137 of them are in jail. You could be number 138? But, of course, I kid! You could, however, win this insanely cool trip for 10 people (including you) to the Iceland Airwaves Music Festival! Details? Here they are... Iceland is a land of puffins, volcanoes, eco-friendly Vodka and amazing music festivals. In honor of Iceland's 63rd birthday, Reyka Vodka and Iceland Naturally have just announced a once in a lifetime contest for 1 lucky winner and 9 friends to fly to Iceland for three days ...

Radiohead Previews New Album From The Cutting Room Music News, Music Videos, Musique Non Stop | (1)
No album is likely to be more anticipated world-wide this year than the new record by Radiohead. Now, Nigel Godrich, uber-producer for many of the band's greatest works, was kind enough to spool together some out takes from the sessions and play them back for everyone from right in the editing studio. These very short clips of various songs makes for a delightful tease.

Most Popular Community Pastime of Bonnaroo 2007: The Power Nap Bonnaroo 2007, Musique Non Stop, The Aftermath | (0)
When you're dead tired and it's a 1.2 mile hike back to your camping area, sometimes you just gotta lay your head down wherever you are and catch some z's. At Bonnaroo, you can do it.

BLOGGAROO?!?! I Am Surrounded By Bloggers At Bonnaroo!!! Bonnaroo 2007, Musique Non Stop, The Aftermath | (4)
It's always wonderful to see my fellow bloggers at any music conference or festival, and I saw a bunch of you at Bonnaroo this year! Here's a big hug to Ryan from Muzzle of Bees, Scott and Amrit from Stereogum, Matt from You Aint No Picasso, and Joe from Each Note Secure/WOXY. Even old friends like John Roderick from The Long Winters were out blogging the fest for MSNBC. Hanging out with you guys was awesome. Be sure and check out their sites for more coverage of the 'Roo -- if you're a blogger ...

I Can’t Pay Attention ‘Cuz I’m On That Dust — Dust Bowl Ballads At Bonnaroo Bonnaroo 2007, Musique Non Stop, The Aftermath | (0)
No, this picture was not taken at dawn as the hazy morning sun cuts through the dew. This is Bonnaroo at sunset engulfed in a sea of dust so thick it boggles the mind. Conditions were unfathomably dry throughout the festival this year. You could see people wearing face masks, bandannas, and covering their mouths with shirts in hopes of separating the dirt from the oxygen. People lost their voices, lungs were coughed up. It will take all of us a few days to get the dirt out of our systems.

Bonnaroo Fashion “Do’s” Pt. 1 — Ain’t Nothing Wrong With Guys In Sarongs Bonnaroo 2007, Musique Non Stop, The Aftermath | (0)
Symbolic reversals of role are visible everywhere at Bonnaroo, but none moreso than in how people dress. These folks have exactly the right idea -- his t-shirt/sarong combination, her tank top & shorts accented by those adorable Asian umbrellas keep you looking cool and feeling cool in the heat.
