Whenever new songs by Elliott Smith come to the light of day, it's pretty hard not to pay attention. Elliott, for his part, was a master of inventiveness who worked overtime at avoiding cliches and insignificance. Ultimately, his music says everything that he would want said about him, and I am not going to deny him that right.
