::: ARTISTS / ARTIST REPRESENTATIVES ::: As a general rule of thumb, Loudersoft will only review original songs and remixes from bands & recording artists which have not been posted elsewhere previously.
If you have something that has not been posted elsewhere you’d like me to check out, please send me an email which contains
- Links to high-resolution photographs of you/your band
- Bandcamp page, your Soundcloud page
- Links to someplace you have uploaded your mp3’s but not actual mp3’s
The email address for submitting promotional material is: promo [at] loudersoft [dot] com. Please do not under any circumstances attach MP3’s to your email (more about this further down).
::: SUBMIT VIA SOUNDCLOUD :::
::: PHYSICAL PRESS KITS AND MERCH ::: We love getting cassettes, vinyl 45’s/LP’s, t-shirts, stickers, concert tickets or any other promotional item sent to us! Contact us via email & we will gladly provide you a mailing address.
We accept USPS/UPS/FedEx/DHL but unless you’re sending time-sensitive material, save your postage and just send it USPS Priority Mail.
It’s our pleasure to listen to anything you submit. Someone (usually me) will listen to and consider everything that comes in at some point in time. But Loudersoft doesn’t publish a review for every submission. We are not able to personally reply to every submission. If we want to publish a review of your work, you will definitely hear back from me or someone representing Loudersoft. Please note that all assets from unsolicited submissions of any kind from any source become the property of Loudersoft and may be used at any time, now or in future for promotional purposes without notice.
Publication of a review or commentary regarding any submission, sharing of content via Loudersoft’s websites, entities, social media assets or responding to any unsolicited submission in no way constitutes an endorsement.
::: FOLLOW US ON INTERNETS OF VARIOUS TYPES :::
Please don’t attach or include MP3’s in your emails. You can include links to MP3’s hosted elsewhere, but please do not send emails that include attached MP3’s in them.
::: What Happens If I Email Actual MP3’s to you? ::: Emails containing MP3’s get deleted and the original sender’s email address gets added to our permanent email blacklist. No really — please don’t email actual MP3’s or you get permanently blacklisted. If it seems I’m going overboard to make my point, you would be surprised how many people look at this page and see the words “don’t send mp3’s” and still email them as attachments to their message. If you read this page and understood only this paragraph, you’d be in good shape
::: Can I Tweet music promo at you? ::: I’d advise against it, not just for me but for anyone. It’s a bad practice to mass tweet your links to various people because it just, inevitably, pisses them (or me) off and then you get reported as spam. It’s not about you, it’s about the dozens upon dozens of people who came before you that did the exact same thing and caused it to become annoying. Tweeting music promo at me will end badly for you, so please don’t. Thank you.
::: INFORMATION FOR WRITERS/REVIEWERS :::
We’re always looking for fresh voices who know how to spell-check, grammar-check and love to write about music. Get in touch with me and send me some writing samples/links to your work.
::: INFORMATION FOR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS :::
We’re not lawyers, but we talked to some and this is what they said. The overwhelming majority of the songs posted on Loudersoft have been cleared for posting through a representative of the copyright holder (e.g., label representatives, publicists, artists, artist organizations (ADA, The Orchard) or artist representatives) or directly through the copyright holders themselves. Loudersoft recognizes the authority of and is adjudicated under the jurisdiction of copyright laws pertaining to Loudersoft’s country of origin and publication, the United States of America. If you are the copyright owner of any songs posted here and wish to have your song(s) removed, please send me an email. Your request will be handled as soon as I receive your email.
We’re not jerks. We do things the easy way, not the hard way. Just ask and it’s gone. In an effort to reduce conflicts and confusion, Loudersoft’s firm agreement and policy regarding anyone with a DMCA compliance request is always one-on-one mediation. If you have such a request, contact me directly to make a resolution. Please do not contact my registrar or hosting company without first emailing me. Failure to email me first could create unnecessary delays in compliance or potentiate liability on the part of the claimant.
