Along comes a video for yet another totally ill track off Skewby’s epic “Proving You Wrong Since 1988″ mixtape which, if you don’t have already, you can get by clicking here and downloading it, aiight?

Skewby – “Talk 2 em’”

WARNING: THIS VIDEO CONTAINS EXPLICIT PORNOGRAPHIC MATERIAL WHICH MAY BE CONSIDERED OFFENSIVE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED – PLAY THIS VIDEO AT YOUR OWN RISK.

A new video has been released from Massive Attack’s forthcoming Heligoland, a video which is likely to raise some eyebrows. The video for “Paradise Circus” features an interview with ’70’s porn icon Georgina Spelvin, providing color commentary over portions of her banned pornographic film classic, The Devil in Miss Jones. I found it tough to watch, but I post it in the hopes you’ll find it enjoyable and interesting.

Charlotte Gainsbourg – Heaven Can Wait

Charlotte Gainsbourg – Heaven Can Wait from Charlotte Gainsbourg on Vimeo.

The new video from Charlotte Gainsbourg, “Heaven Can Wait”, is ostensibly the first single from her Beck-produced album IRM, due for release in very early 2010. Enjoy.

VIDEO: Orenda Fink – “That Certain-Something Spring”

A new video from one of our favorites, Orenda Fink (O+S, Azure Ray) has a new album out on Saddle Creek. This video comes from that album. Enjoy.

I’m still on the fence about this, but the video, which leaked today, is pretty good IMO. But uh… Lady Gaga though? I have tried so hard to “get” Lady Gaga. I guess it comes down to this: I have to see her live to “get her”. Meh, dance y’all. If you came searching for insightful commentary or review on this song, it will never exist in this post. Sometimes, I post things purely out of intrigue. This seems to me a standard Beyonce pop song. It’s aiight.

Apologies to my regular readers that this video contains an ad. As someone with no hair, I am personally offended that it’s an ad for Pantene; however the video, taken from Saadiq’s masterful 2008 album The Way I See It, is worth sitting thru the ad.

The video transports you back to the 50’s when tailored looks, impecable style and choreographed dances defined your Saturday night. Disc Jockey’s ruled the airwaves and Mempis, TN was finally given it’s star power on the map. Imagine you are the audience and Raphael Saadiq is your entertainment for the night. I instruct you to advise on the above before you press play, evoke the mood and the mood is Soul.

That’s from the press release. So Nikki, if you’re reading this, you might should proof that press release — our city’s name spelled Memphis, not “Mempis”.

Don’t worry: in a couple of months you’ll be able to spell it in your sleep. Now dig some Raphael Saadiq.

This is a very fresh new video for N.A.S.A.’s track “Hip-Hop”. Featuring guest appearances from Slim Kid Tre, Fatlip and KRS-One, it’s a bumping video bound to turn a party out. N.A.S.A.’s The Spirit Of The Apollo (including the song “Hip-Hop”) will be released on February 17th.

Winner of the 2008 Indie Memphis Music Video Showcase Jury Prize, this video is as beautiful and inspiring as the woman who is singing in it — the inimitable soulful strains of Miss Valencia Robinson. This song is deeply inspirational and it’s a very simple, down-to-earth tune. Definitely turn this up and watch in full screen mode.

What could be more inviting than a warm, sweet, fuzzy and friendly Thanksgiving greeting from The Roots?!?!?

No, you ain’t reading a typo, The Band that will soon be the house band on the Jimmy Fallon show, The Band who straight-up dropped ‘the N word’ 39 times in the song “75 Bars (Black’s Reconstruction)” has made a piece being shown on Noggin and Nick,Jr.! Yo Gabba Gabba is about as cool as it gets — fun for the whole family for certain, and hey — this awesome track is 100% clean too. Be sure and click “more” on the YouTube page hosting the video for a link to the MP3 if you want it. YEAAAAAAAAAAAH! (HT: ?uestlove)

Sly & Robbie Paint The White House Black!

This video speaks for itself — two of the greatest Jamaican producers in the history of music, Sly & Robbie, have teamed up with Amp Fiddler to create an updated version of George Clinton’s classic “Paint The White House Black”. Dig it.
