How many emails do you answer a day you ask? Well, considering how the hype for this band completely avoided my attentions, you can imagine it’s quite a few. Everything Everything hailing from Manchester offer one of the most lucid genre-bending crossbreeds I’ve come across in recent memory, successfully combining many different schools of music into one really epic piece of music. Apparently, that’s made them very sought after and admired by the UK press.
“MY KZ UR BF (Clock Opera remix)” is instant musical gratification, evoking aspects of Vampire Weekend, The Whitest Boy Alive, Foals and Bloc Party in the same swift motion. I’m really digging their sound. Here, too (thanks to the band) is their single called “Schoolin” for you to download and enjoy. I suspect great things are in their future and hope to see their music released stateside soon enough.
