Can I tell you something pause-worthy? Ok, maybe that’s pushing it, but there are few bands I have been as consistently excited by as I have for the past six years with Zero 7. They’ve created four albums of important material from the last decade, the kind of songs that always come to mind in times of trouble to soothe me, to fill me up when I’m feeling down, and to set the mood when the lights go down in my boudoir. By the same token, I’m very taken with master remixer/producer/DJ Carl Craig. Carl Craig creates a unique brand of Detroit techno that is, simply, interstellar. Put these two together (or rather three), you have this remix of a track from Zero 7′s 2006 album, The Garden. Happy Wednesday.
