David Byrne, the clever and inventive world music impresario and former Talking Head, has joined forces with multi-instrumentalist and turntablist Norman Cook, better known to the world as Fatboy Slim to pursue an experimental new song cycle entitled Here Lies Love. The boxed set, containing the completed works, will be released on 23 February 2010 by Todomundo/Nonesuch Records.

Contained in the set are 22 songs, each inspired by an examination into the lives of Imelda Marcos (the former first lady of The Philippines) and her childhood servant, Estrella Cumpas. The star-studded lineup of guest performances are said to include Santigold, Florence Welch (Florence + The Machine), Sia, Steve Earle, St. Vincent, Natalie Merchant, Tori Amos, Sharon Jones and Nicole Atkins to name but a few.
