Druggies, hipsters and others, take note of this contest. It’s going to be fun. Jenny Lewis has a new album called Acid Tongue which, pretty much, speaks for itself. If you’ve taken it, you know more than I do about it. If you haven’t, some people say listening to this album can induce a feeling which emulates the experience of tripping on acid. Either way, Loudersoft is thrilled to offer up the “Design Your Drugs” contest, giving you a chance to win your *very own* limited-edition copy of Acid Tongue on high-quality, 180 Gram vinyl (that’s the weight of the vinyl, you druggie you). Details and a new Jenny Lewis MP3 are after the jump!
To enter this contest, all you have to do is submit your concept for a design that would look great on a sheet of blotter acid. Not familiar with what blotter acid looks like? Well, the cover of Jenny’s album should give you a hint. Simple is really the way to go with this: the idea behind sheets of acid, from what we’ve seen, is something that can be reprinted with a four-color process on 100 individual perforated pieces of connected paper that are approximately 1×1 (if that big). You know, kind of like pixels on a computer? (Who says LSD doesn’t give people great ideas)
In all, three lucky winners will be selected. Entries will be judged on originality and style.
To enter, email us an *original* picture to contest at loudersoft dot com of something you would print on a sheet of blotter acid. You are welcome to submit your entries as single images or send them to us as they’d appear on a hit/sheet of blotter acid!
Please make sure your images are .jpg, .gif or .png images. Images should be 72dpi in quality. Please do not send us anything that you did not photograph, draw or create in Photoshop yourself — those entries will not be considered. You may send us images that you’ve watermarked — we don’t want to steal your ideas, we just want to see what you can do with this idea!
You will have until October 1st to make and submit your design for this contest. Anyone is welcome to enter except employees of Warner Brothers Records or their subsidiaries. By entering the contest, you agree to allow Loudersoft to reproduce your entry on Loudersoft, in part or in whole, along with your first name and last initial. Be certain you include all of your contact information (Name, Mailing Address, Phone Number, Email Address) along with your entry.
