Forums are ablaze with people chatting, construction is well underway at the farm, and the excitement for year 7 of the ultimate 4-day music summer camp is bristling everywhere you look. Yes, Bonnaroo 2008 will be here before you know it and you really, really want to go. You know you do. You know you want to drop everything and head to Manchester, TN for four days to camp and enjoy some of the best and brightest musical acts out there.
In a summer that is fueled by speculation on everything from gas prices to the economy to the ballot in November, Bonnaroo offers a welcome getaway from everything. Your cell phones will probably work and you might be able to blog from your tent using your satellite card, so you don’t have to lose touch with the outside world if you don’t want to. But to really get the full experience of Bonnaroo, we want your suggestions on how to make the ‘Roo the most fun for you.
The Unofficial Bonnaroo 2008 Pre-Festival Questionnaire:
Are you going to Bonnaroo this year? If not, why not?
How many times have you been to Bonnaroo?
Which year was your favorite and why?
What is your best memory of years past?
What are you most looking forward to about the festival this year?
What music acts are you most excited to see?
Are you using this as an opportunity to reunite with old friends from years past?
What changes are you looking forward to seeing this year from years past?
Is the high price of gasoline causing you to consider whether or not to go?
Loudersoft would love your answers to these questions to provide you with the best possible coverage of Bonnaroo 2008. Answer as many or as few questions as you want & be sure to pass the link along to friends who have attended or are planning to attend. Write as much or as little as you want, but be completely honest. We’re looking forward to seeing lots of you in Manchester in a couple of weeks.

2Jonny on May 26, 2008 at 7:12 pm:
1. Most definitely
2. 2006 and 2007
3. 2006 - it was my first year, so it was brand new to me, plus, you can’t beat Radiohead, Elvis Costello, Bright Eyes, Death Cab for Cutie, Ben Folds, Beck, etc.
4. Probably the epic Radiohead show. I arrived at the stage by myself, and ended making so many friends. I was even adopted by a group of glowing kids! The glow stick war was so nuts.
5. Being a veteran of two Roos, I know how to maneuver the festival, and make the best of it. Also, THE FOOD! I <3 SPICY PIE.
6. Against Me!, My Morning Jacket, The Raconteurs, Death Cab for Cutie, Rilo Kiley, Broken Social Scene, Vampire Weekend, Ben Folds, Kanye West, Gogol Bordello, plus all the acts I’ll stumble upon by chance and end up loving.
7. That’d be nice, but I’m not planning on it. Bonnaroo is full of surprises though…
8. They seem to have the schedule worked out to where there’s less conflicts, which is really nice.
9. It’s not bad enough to make me not wanna go, but it’s definitely a factor. It mostly makes me want to recruit more people to ride along, so we can all split the cost of gas.

1. Absolutely
2. 2002 & 2007
3. 2002 because it was the first and the vibe was unreal. Still good vibe but that first year had something special.
4. Hard to say. Maybe Flaming Lips last year or discovering Robert Randolph in 02
5. Just being back around good people with good vibes
6. Too many to count. This year has a stocked lineup. Overall maybe Plant & Krauss, Pearl Jam, BB King, just to name a few
7. Somewhat. I run into some people from my Dead days once and a while. Unfortunately most of them are going to Rothbury this year.
8. Better THursday lineup and hopefully a dust control in place.
9. Not really. We have to do what we have to do.
