As reported yesterday on Idolator, Wu-Tang Clan has opened the Shaolin vaults to the world and unleashed the wrath of the Wu on us all. If you visit The Wu-Tang Corp. website, you will find 215 free downloads from a variety of Wu-Tang Clan artists and related material, some of which may be previously unreleased. This collection represents a wide array of styles and artists, including tracks from Ashanti, Macy Gray, 112, AZ, E-40, Streetlife, Dom Pachino, and even Jennifer Lopez. You definitely want to visit the page using Mozilla Firefox with the DownThemAll plugin installed so you can slurp all these goodies before they are gone. Here’s a preview of a couple of songs I grabbed from there that I think are worth noticing. The first is “Back In The Air (featuring Ghostface) with a classic Wu-Tang flow from Dirt McGirt over a smoothed out R&B track. The second I include for humor, Macy Gray & ODB doing their own rendition of the classic Elton John & Kiki Dee track “ODB, Don’t Go Breakin’ My Heart”. This speaks for itself I think.
